On 5 November 2025, a small crack, likely caused by a debris strike, was discovered on one of the windows. Analysis determined that the danger from the crack fell outside safety parameters, rendering Shenzhou 20 unable to safely return its crew. Crew returned on Shenzhou 21 on 14 November 2025.
