Wenchang Space Launch Site

Wenchang Space Launch Site is located on the island of Hainan, a Chinese province just off the coast of southeastern China.

Due to its location at 19° north latitude, Wenchang is much more suitable for heavy payloads, such as the Long March 10, than Jiuquan. Wenchang was initially a suborbital test center. Construction was complete by 2014 and launches began in mid-2016.

LC-101 (19° 36' 52.17" N, 110° 57' 4.08" E) is used for CZ-5 launches, LC-201 (19° 37' 6.1" N, 110° 57' 20.66" E)for CZ-7, and the newest complex, LC-3, is intended for the CZ-10.
